Who I am

Sol & Sōma is run by me, D’Arcy McCallum, a yoga teacher based in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. When this policy says “I”, “me” or “Sol & Sōma”, that’s who it means. You can reach me any time at [email protected].

What information I collect

I only collect what you choose to give me:

• Waitlist forms (7 Days to Ground and Retreats): your first name and email address.
• Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
• Email or WhatsApp: whatever you include when you message me directly, along with your email address or phone number.

This website doesn’t ask you to create an account, and I don’t collect payment details through it.

How I use it

• To reply to your messages and questions.
• To let you know when 7 Days to Ground or a retreat is ready, if you’ve joined that list.
• To occasionally share related updates about Sol & Sōma, only if you’ve signed up for them.

I will never sell, rent or trade your information.

Services that help run this website

A few trusted services handle information on my behalf:

• Formspree receives the forms you submit and forwards them to my email.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and may process basic technical information, like your IP address, to keep the site secure and running smoothly.
• Google Fonts provides the website’s typeface, which means your browser connects to Google to load it.
• Email and WhatsApp carry any messages you send me directly.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and some may store information outside Costa Rica.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and I don’t track you around the internet.

How long I keep it

I keep your details only for as long as I need them: for example, until I’ve answered your message, or until you leave a waitlist. You can ask me to delete them at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can unsubscribe from any list whenever you like. Just email [email protected] and I’ll take care of it. I handle personal information in line with applicable privacy laws, and respect these rights wherever you’re visiting from.

Links to other sites

This website links to Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp. Once you leave this site, their own privacy policies apply.

If I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top of this section.

By using this website or joining a Sol & Sōma class or online experience, you agree to these terms.

Your health comes first

Yoga, breathwork, meditation and movement are physical and emotional practices. Please:

• Check with your doctor or health professional before starting, especially if you’re pregnant, injured, recovering from surgery or managing a health condition.
• Let me know about any injuries or conditions before class, so I can offer options.
• Listen to your body. Rest, modify or stop whenever you need to. Nothing in a class is compulsory.

The information and practices I share are for general wellbeing. They aren’t medical advice, and they don’t replace care from a qualified health professional. You take part at your own risk.

Classes at partner venues

Many of my classes take place at hotels and venues I partner with. Their own rules, bookings and policies also apply while you’re on their property.

Class times, locations and offerings can change. I do my best to keep this website up to date, but please get in touch to confirm before you come.

Online experiences

When you access an online experience like 7 Days to Ground, you receive a personal licence to use it for your own practice. Please don’t copy, share, resell or publicly post the videos, audio or written materials.

Content on this website

The text, photos, logo and other content on this website belong to Sol & Sōma or are used with permission. Please don’t reuse them without asking first.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Sol & Sōma isn’t responsible for any injury, loss or damage that results from taking part in classes, using online content or relying on information on this website.

Other websites

Links to other websites and social media are there for convenience. I’m not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica.
